Marketing and communication INternship 

Seeking a talented intern to assist with social media, search marketing, public relations, sales channels and public relations projects that support our mission during the upcoming summer. This internship is a non- paid internship. 

Our ideal candidate is someone who is a motivated self-starter who is willing to lend his or her talents to strengthen the Planned Parenthood brand while also taking time to listen, ask questions and take direction. We want someone who is obsessed with social media and is creative, professional, and thoughtful when interacting with online communities and building relationships.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Sophomore thru Senior. Prefer Marketing, Communication, Journalism Majors but applications from all majors welcomed
• Able to commit 1-2 full days in the DC office per week
• Familiarity with many social media platforms

• Strong writing skills & critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator preferred

Implement marketing plans for health centers across Maryland and DC 
Product assembly and sales

PATIENT SERVICES ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIP

Seeking a talented intern to assist in the Patient Services Department. This internship is a non-paid but can be credit based with a time commitment of approximately 15-20 hours a week.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is a motivated, self-starter looking to learn all aspects of a health care organizations operation.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Junior in college-graduate school studying health care administration, business management, nursing, non profit management or health science.
  • Able to commit 1-3 full days in the DC office per week
  • Familiarity /or interest in health care management and/or operations

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Throughout the experience, the intern will lead and participate in projects and initiatives that impact patient services operations.

The intern will gain exposure to Patient Services operations, health center functions, and system level initiatives. Projects will be based on organizational need and the interns interest.

public advocacy internship 

Seeking a talented intern in the Public Affairs Department. This internship is a non-paid but can be credit based with a time commitment of approximately 20-35 hours a week.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is a motivated, self-starter with a strong and proven commitment to progressive values and civic engagement, especially organizing skills.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Student interested in public affairs, political science, public health, government or communcations 
  • Able to commit 1-3 full days in the DC office per week, as well as attend ongoing rapid response volunteer events in the evening and weekends (as available)
  • Have excellent communication and writing skills

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Organize grassroots efforts with the goal of preserving and broadening access to reproductive health care in D.C., Maryland and Virginia. 

The intern will help execute and participate in campaign events, recruit and coordinate volunteers, and assist with social media and data entry

The intern will gain exposure to D.C., Maryland and Virginia legislation, politics, health care access, grassroots organizing, reproductive justice or progressive issue-based campaigns.
